Yogyakarta. Does anyone know the history? I'm curious about this name, from which kind of word, are related with Jakarta, Surakarta or Purwakarta? (hehe just based on the same ending word: karta). Hmm... I'm javanese but have poor knowledge in my cultural background (how pity me)..
Why? Cemon, what have u done in last 20 years? This can be happened because of the unapropiate formal and informal education about javanese especially yogyakarta's culture. Besides that, there are so many interesting other cultures information that easly available, enjoyable and poisonable (but sweet poison i think hehe). We must say both thanks and blame for the booming of information technology in past 20 years. We can access everything happened in other countries,we can easily addopt that, do that and be everything kind of person we want to be (There are so many figure of humans not just our out of dates parents, silly neighbours and glooming theachers). Then, we only have a little time to explore, to contact, to connect with our (complex, boring, dusty) cultures. Hmmm that just some example. Maybe...
